Home Hemodialysis

Definition

Conventional hemodialysis is performed three or four times a week, usually in the dialysis center. Home hemodialysis is characteristically performed at home, on a 6 or 7 day basis, for either 2 hours (short home hemodialysis) or over night (at a lower blood flow). Resource: Home Dialysis Central
